Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 14, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Verdict (the "Service"), operated by The Verdict Company ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing our website at theverdictcompany.com or verdict.cx, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Use of Service
Verdict provides a platform for talent evaluation and ranking. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
3. Accounts & Workspaces
To use certain features, you must register for an account (typically via Google Authentication). You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Workspaces are environments where you can manage evaluations; access to these is governed by the workspace creator.
4. Payments & Refunds
Our service operates on monthly workspace subscriptions based on applicant memos processed. All payments are processed through DodoPayments.
- Subscription fees are billed according to the plan selected for the workspace.
- Due to the digital nature of the signal extraction and AI analysis provided, refunds are generally not provided once an evaluation has been initiated.
- Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion in cases of technical failure.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (including our proprietary ranking algorithms and "Elo" leaderboard systems) are and will remain the exclusive property of The Verdict Company. Your data (candidate memos and workspace configurations) belongs to you, but you grant us a license to process it to provide the Service.
6. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Verdict, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined therein, including the processing of data by third-party AI providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google).
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall The Verdict Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the workspace subscription period in question.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Verdict Company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
